Microsoft's own CEO, Satya Nadella, had teased the arrival of the next-generation Windows, which probably has a lot of new features including a visual overhaul.
Later in the day, he had told that this generation will be the most significant one of the past decade. He also said that he had been using this for a while now and is excited to unveil it to us anytime soon in the Build 2021 event.
Microsoft's next-generation Windows, codenamed Project Sun Valley, will be the most exciting one for its users. Even though they have been teasing about its UI changes, we're still not sure about how it's going to be until June 24.
Microsoft's latest release, the Windows 10X, which competes ChromeOS, has been abruptly dropped since Microsoft wants Windows 10X technology to be available for everyone.
The Windows 10X, started back in October 2019, was specifically made for dual-screen PCs and foldable devices. It was a visual overhaul and People loved it. Although the Insider preview was released, Microsoft later decided to drop it and instead use its features on upcoming Windows versions.
Several years before, Microsoft announced that there will be no Windows 11. But with the Build 2021 event, it looks the company has changed its mind.
As per updates, this will be the end of Windows 94 system icons and new icons will be seen instead.
Not only we've got a visual overhaul here, but also new monetization features are also available for developers which encourages many developers to release their apps in the Microsoft store.
Here's what the Indian origin Microsoft CEO has to say about its new generation Windows:
“Soon we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators. I've been self-hosting it over the past several months, and I'm incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows,”
What we can assure is that its users will get a new experience with apps looking more modern and developers get new monetization features and we're all excited!
