5 amazing android apps you need to try now!

I've tried various apps this year but these apps are my favourite pick. I always love productivity apps, but this time I tried so many new apps that I have so much more to recommend.

These apps don't make you productive but they make your experience much amazing. While trying out these apps, I was thinking of how much tech has grown these years.

    Disclaimer

By this blog post, I have no intention of promoting anyone's apps nor this is a paid promotional post. These apps are personally picked and recommended by me and installing them is up to your wish.

These apps aren't harmful since they have a lot of reviews that seem legitimate. It worked fine for me. However, I cannot guarantee you its legitimacy.

    5 amazing apps

    1. Leafsnap - Plant identification

This is a very different app. Imagine you're seeing a beautiful wildflower or some kind of unknown herb, then this app is the perfect app for you. With Leafsnap you can take a snap of the plant, and then the app will search the database for the plant genus and other details with matching looks.

Then the app will show you relevant results which are most of the time accurate. The app also features a database that contains details of about 90% of all known plant species which is more than you need.

If you're not a person with a green thumb yet want to maintain and grow plants, then this app is for you. Download the app now.

There are however a few caveats. The app contains ads and to get rid of this, you'll have to pay for a monthly or annual subscription which is kinda annoying. A one-time fee would be cool. Still, it lets you access its core and essential features and allows unlimited snapshots which is worth the ads.

The UI isn't very intuitive and the details provided aren't very useful. It looks like the details were fetched from Wikipedia, and it is. Origin of the plant isn't very helpful in most cases and the plant caring details aren't very helpful in this app. Still, it isn't wrong to try this app.

Overall, this is a different take on plant identification, with quite a few niggles, here and there. I can endorse it to people who are serious about their greens.

Honorable Mentions - Blossom (Plant Identification App)

This app is similar to Leafsnap (Above), but with a lot more caveats than its features. It has a very beautiful UI, but the app gives you so many pop-ups that you want to uninstall it.

Moreover, it is not completely free, the free version allows you a very limited amount of snapshots, unlike Leafsnap which offers unlimited snapshots.

But the premium version gives you way too many features and information on each plant.

The free version only gives you water and care reminders, whereas the other features seem just useless without the premium version. The app requires you to pay it on a monthly or yearly subscription which is quite costly for a plant identification app. This is why I haven't included this in the list of my favorite apps.
This is one of my favorite apps ever. With this, you can make your android phone look like iPhone (No, not hardware). This makes the UI look like iOS 14, and it's quite convincing!

This app contains Homescreen, an iOS icon pack, Control Center, Spotlight search, and an iOS-style lock screen. All in one! This is by far one of the most complete home launchers, unlike others which require you to download various applications for various features.

However, nothing is without flaws. In this case, the lock screen. First, you'd have to go past the phone unlock, the default one, then the Launcher's one. This is really annoying at some point. Next, the volume style isn't changed. It would've been good if it was changed. But these are the problems with every launcher, it's not the app's fault here though.

This app is so good that it is definitely worth a download.

    3. Jumbo: Privacy + Security

This is the perfect app if you're a privacy freak, like me. Jumbo lets you connect various social media and internet accounts of yours, then checks for data leaks and credentials leaks, which is pretty useful.

Also, it gives your private recommendations and protects your account using authentication. This app scans all your accounts, so it goes through all of your data, which you might be frightened of.

No, this app uses a technology that enables scanning within your device, so that your personal data won't go to their server. Cool, right?

Even though the features are very limited in the free version, it is definitely more than enough. Due to its pricy premium subscription and very limited features on the free version, it isn't very easy to recommend it to everyone.

    4. HealthifyMe - Calorie Counter, Diet Plan, Trainers

This is an amazing fitness app. Even if you're not a huge fan of Fitness apps, you're going to love this. This app lets you know how many calories you've taken! How cool!

Let me just clear out the air for you. Just input what you've eaten today, and it'll do the calorie math for you. So, at the end of the day, it'll show how many calories you've taken, intake, by the total calories required by your body, which isn't accurate but just an average of calories required by people in your age group.

Crazy, right? What's more crazy is that you'll get amazing charts on your food intake, crazy levels of recommendations on refining your diet, and more.

Sure thing the free version has limited features, but sometimes that's more than enough. The premium version has various features like trainer appointments, custom diet plans, and more. I think it is really affordable if you're a fitness freak.

It also lets you import fitness data like walking and exercise straight away from Google Fit and other applications, which is awesome and helps you know more about your health.

It's certainly not wrong to give it a try.

The perfect app for health freaks who want to keep their body slim with the help of new tech. Doesn't hurt to try it out!

    5. Volume Styles - Customize your Volume Panel Slider

Remember the caveat in Launcher iOS 14, the volume style isn't iOS styled. Well, here's an app to fix that!

Volume styles let you, well, customize your volume panel according to your needs. There are the default styles: Android, iOS, One UI 3.0, MIUI, Oxygen OS, and more to name.

This is a very easy-to-understand app and has a lot of cool and powerful features. The version is certainly overkilled and the paid version is more overkill for an app in this category.

I used this to achieve the stock android experience for my stock android post, and I used this same app to get the iOS experience.

Ads are ranging from little to sometimes even none, by none I meant negligible and it is certainly amazing. This is an app that is very easy to recommend.

The custom styling is so fun and powerful: You can add waves and adjust icons and more!

It is a sin not to try this app out, I would definitely give it a 4/5 rating. This app can keep you hooked up for long time in customizing your volume bar.

So, that's my 5 amazing app lists and I hope you'd like them.
